Kombucha is a fermented tea rich in antioxidants, vitamins, and probiotics, offering health benefits like improved gut health, detoxification, and reduced cholesterol. However, it may cause side effects in some people, particularly those with weakened immune systems, and should be avoided by children, pregnant women, and breastfeeding mothers. It’s important to choose organic, low-sugar kombucha with live cultures and avoid products with artificial ingredients. While beneficial, kombucha’s probiotic effects are not superior to other fermented foods, and it’s best to consult a doctor before consuming it.
